These terms apply to private tuition arranged directly between In-Tuition Learning and the parent, guardian or adult learner named in the booking. A booking is confirmed when In-Tuition Learning accepts it by email or text message and the client confirms that they accept these terms.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits statutory consumer rights. Tuition services will be delivered with reasonable care and skill.

The client must provide accurate and relevant information about the learner’s age, school year, subjects, learning needs, medical information, allergies, behaviour, safeguarding concerns and any reasonable adjustments that may affect safe and effective tuition.

In-Tuition Learning may recommend a different format, tutor, group or service where this is considered more suitable. Tuition is educational support and does not guarantee a particular grade, examination result or school outcome.

Students are expected to attend their regular weekly lessons during Swindon Borough Council school term times. Lesson days, times, duration, location and delivery format will be confirmed in writing.

A regular lesson time is reserved specifically for the learner. Because that time remains unavailable to other students, scheduled lessons remain payable if the learner is unable to attend, subject to the catch-up arrangements below.

Clients should arrive and collect learners promptly. A late arrival by the learner does not normally extend the booked finish time. Changes to the regular timetable are subject to availability, and In-Tuition Learning may provide an appropriately qualified replacement tutor where necessary.

For Primary to GCSE 2:1 tuition, excluding A-Level tuition, lesson fees are based on the total number of lessons booked each week for students within the same household: £35 per hour for the first weekly lesson, £30 per hour for the second weekly lesson, and £25 per hour for the third and any additional weekly lessons.

These reduced rates can apply to one student attending multiple lessons or to siblings living within the same household.

A-Level tuition is excluded from this discount structure and is charged at the separate A-Level rates shown in the Tuition Cost list: £45 per hour for 2:1 tuition and £70 per hour for 1:1 tuition.

The applicable fee and lesson arrangements will be confirmed before tuition begins.

Invoices are sent by text at the beginning of each month for the regular weekly lessons scheduled during that month in Swindon Borough Council school term times. Invoices are payable within 7 days.

In-Tuition Learning may pause future lessons where payment remains overdue after reasonable notice. Any change to fees will be communicated in writing before it takes effect.

If a learner cannot attend their usual lesson, please notify In-Tuition Learning by 12pm on the day before the lesson by contacting 07594 356993.

Where notice is received by that deadline, In-Tuition Learning will do its best to offer a catch-up session at no additional cost. Catch-up sessions are subject to tutor and timetable availability and cannot always be guaranteed. They may occasionally be with a different tutor, although consistency will be maintained wherever possible.

If a suitable catch-up session cannot be found, the original scheduled lesson remains payable.

Where notice is received after 12pm on the day before the lesson, or a lesson is missed without notice, the scheduled lesson remains payable and a catch-up session will not normally be offered.

If In-Tuition Learning cancels a lesson, a suitable rearranged lesson will be offered. If the lesson cannot be rearranged, the relevant fee will be credited to the client’s account or refunded where no further invoice is due.

If the client wishes to end regular tuition, at least two weeks’ notice must be given by text message or email. Lessons scheduled during the two-week notice period remain payable, and the learner is welcome to attend them as usual.

If payment has already been made for lessons scheduled after the two-week notice period, those amounts will be refunded or credited as appropriate.

In-Tuition Learning may end tuition by giving reasonable written notice and may end tuition immediately where there is serious non-payment, unsafe behaviour, harassment, a safeguarding concern or a material breach of these terms.

Learners, families and staff must behave respectfully. In-Tuition Learning may pause or end a lesson where conduct creates a safety risk or seriously disrupts learning.

Safeguarding concerns will be handled in line with the organisation’s safeguarding and child protection procedures. Confidentiality cannot be promised where information suggests that a child or vulnerable person may be at risk of harm. Relevant information may be shared with safeguarding agencies where lawful and necessary.

Concerns should first be raised promptly with In-Tuition Learning so they can be investigated and addressed. Formal complaints are handled in accordance with the In-Tuition Learning Complaints and Appeals Policy. Raising a complaint does not affect statutory rights.

In-Tuition Learning does not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Neither party will be responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside reasonable control, but both will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and rearrange services where practical.
